U.S. Marines and residents of Okinawa receive a lesson on traditional Japanese "nihonshu" and participate in a tuna cutting ceremony at Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Okinawa, Japan, March 11, 2023. The sake pairing class was taught by Col. Jason Berg, Assistant Chief of Staff, Marine Corps Installations Pacific, to teach Americans and Okinawans the history, science and production of traditional sake. The tuna cutting is a traditional ceremony that was hosted in order to continue improving the Japanese-American partnership and friendship. Berg is a native of Virginia, and Col. Henry Dolberry Jr., the commanding officer of MCAS Futenma, is a native of Pennsylvania. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl. Zachary Sarvey)
