Mrs. Connie Meyer, spouse of Col. Scott A. Meyer, 349th Operations Group commander, reflects on her husband's leadership style and the support they received from Team Travis during their tour of duty at Travis Air Force Base, California. After serving for nearly three years as the 349th OG commander, Col Meyer's "fini flight" in the KC-10 Extender occured on October 4, 2022. The fini-flight is an Air Force tradition where family, friends and wingmen hose down an aviator following his or her final flight in a particular aircraft, or the final flight of their Air Force career.
Next month, Col. Meyer will take command of the 446th Airlift Wing at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. (U.S. Air Force video by Dennis Santarinala)
