U.S. Marine Corps 1st Lt. Santavian McKinnie, the Joint Reception Center officer in charge with Headquarters and Support Battalion, Marine Corps Installations Pacific, shares his story and how he applies leadership techniques to promote a more effective and capable work environment within his current billet on Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, Feb. 22, 2022. As the JRC OIC, McKinnie is responsible for assisting new service members as they arrive to Okinawa as well as providing the necessary education and resources they need to acclimate to their new duty stations.
