A 7.0 earthquake Tuesday, January 12, left thousands of Haitians displaced, without access to food, water, and vital medical care. On January 21 the FAA dispatched a portable, temporary control tower, a 44 foot high, 12 foot wide and 8 foot deep structure that runs on diesel fuel to Port-au-Prince International Airport to help direct air traffic.
