Stevie Brown, 341st Force Support Squadron youth and team program manager: The mission for our youth programs is to assist the DOD families, military and civilian with affordable and available care from ages birth to eighteen.
We provide a very safe and fun environment for the children to be at, which takes the worry off of the families to accomplish their mission with the Air Force without any worries.
We do STEM, we do the arts, we do health and life skills, character and leadership which would be our keystone and torch club and Youth of the Year.
So we were just reopening and this is our first week of actually having kids back in open rec. It's been almost a year since we had to shut down this part of our program.
This is the Month of the Military Child, but in all actuality, our kids go through so much day-by-day just with their parents working, deploying - that we celebrate them everyday.
