    72nd Air Base Wing

Video from a vacuum pump test at the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex shows significant motion from loose bolts and a crack in a concrete base that engineers say would have eventually caused catastrophic failure and cost the Air Force more than half a million dollars. The motion is virtually undetectable to the human eye but new technology, in use by the 76th Maintenance Support Group, allows engineering techs to pinpoint causes for deflection, displacement, movement and vibration.
