TSgt Ryan Fontaine of the 219th Security Forces Squadron, Minot AFB received the North Dakota National Guard's Woodrow Wilson Keeble Award for heroism at a ceremony at the North Dakota Air National Guard base on March 6, 2021. On Thanksgiving evening 2019, Fontaine came across an ambulance partially submerged in a frozen slough. He assisted in rescuing the elderly patient in the ambulance by wading through the icy waters.
