New technology is being used to document ancient rock art at cultural sites on Fort Hunter Liggett, in Monterey County, California. A crew of archaeologists from the Desert Research Institute uses a D-Stretch (Decorrelation Stretching) imaging technique to tease out information that is not seen by the naked eye. They visited several sites at the installation and talk about what they found. Lisa Cipolla, Cultural Resources Manager at FHL, tells why this documentation and preservation of cultural resources is a way of preserving part of America's heritage.
