A research team from the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center's Environmental Laboratory collaborates with the University of Hawaii's Kewalo Marine Laboratory to investigate the effects of dredging on corals in Honolulu Harbor, Hawaii, in February 2021. The experimentation involves exposing corals to fine-grained sediment from the inner harbor and coarser-grained sediment typical of the harbor entrance.
