Heather Gilmore, School Age Center Facility manager, provides a look at the extra playground upgrades that come with Alaskan winters for youth at Fort Wainwright’s School Age Center. Leif Ostnes, Child and Youth Program Assistant makes snow and playground time fun for youth with the creation of sled hills, slides and bowling alleys.
“I’ve been working here 10-15 years. Every year I’ve been here, I’ve been building sledding hills for the kids, because it’s Alaska, we got snow and we like to sled.”
