B-roll of members of 29 countries participating in the closing ceremony of Combined Endeavor 2009, at Kozara Barracks, Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sep. 17, 2009. Minister of Defense, Dr. Selmo Cikotić, the U.S. Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ambassador Charles English, Commander of U.S. European Command, Admiral James Stavridis, and the Chairman of Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency, Željko Komš;ić, offered comments during the ceremony. This year marked the first time the exercise was conducted in three geographically separated locations and the first time a Partnership for Peace nation took the lead in the event. More than 1,200 people participated in the exercise. Combined Endeavor 2009 is a Headquarters U.S. European Command sponsored communications and information systems interoperability test between and among Partnership for Peace, NATO and other nations, focusing on the deliberate planning process, communications information systems and human interoperability, and development of a road map for future improvement among participants.
