Lt. Col. Chris Panush explains the COVID-19 mapping mission of the Washington National Guard.
• Members of the Washington National Guard are supporting the Washington state Department of Health with Voluntary COVID-19 Mapping to help slow the spread of the virus.
• The information will not be used for any other means and is only for the Department of Health.
• The information we collect is entered into a secure Department of Health database to help understand where the virus could be spreading and notify those at risk.
• This information could ultimately help slow and prevent the spread of disease and help roll back the Stay Home, Stay Healthy order in our state.
• Along with Voluntary COVID-19 Mapping, our members are supporting our local food banks helping feed Washingtonians, assisting medical professionals at testing sites, building COVID-19 test kits and have supported other transportation, logistics, Emergency Support Function staffing and linguist support missions.
