SANTA RITA, Guam (Feb. 19, 2020) Chief Culinary Specialist (Submarine) Michael Halavin, from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., assigned to Commander, Submarine Squadron 15, speaks on his process for creating a modified Texas tortilla soup recipe. Halavin prepared the recipe, modified to incorporate freeze dried chicken, to test the soup for a submission to improve recipes and boost morale in the Navy.
