U.S. Marine 1st Sgt. Wallace Green recalls his time serving in the Marine Corps as a Montford Point Marine from 1942 to 1949. Green enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1946, served for 22 years, then retired in 1968 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. His son, Kendell Green, elaborates on his father’s legacy and history not only as a Montford Point Marine but also as a United States Marine. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl.
