SIERRA ARMY DEPOT, California -- Medical professionals with the 531st Hospital Center and other elements of units from across the United States deployed to Sierra Army Depot, California for a U.S. Army Forces Command Medical Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise Oct. 17-Nov. 6, 2019. Once on site, Soldiers began drawing equipment from a simulated contingency Army Prepositioned Stock, operated by U.S. Army Medical Materiel Agency. Then, they built and operated a Role 3, 148-bed field hospital. This is the first time two field hospitals, 586th Field Hospital and 115th Field Hospital, have worked together to provide full spectrum medical care during an EDRE. (U.S. Army video by Staff Sgt.
