    04.22.2019

Video by Petty Officer 2nd Class Jonathan Nelson

U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa/U.S. Sixth Fleet

A quick thought about exercise Obangame Express 2019 and why it's important to train together with partners and allies.

Ensign Panashe Isaiah Mutumbo, the first lieutenant aboard the 270-foot long U.S. Coast Guard cutter USCGC Thetis (WMEC 910), moved to the United States from Harare, Zimbabwe, when he was a child. Now, while on deployment to the U.S. 6th Fleet and U.S. Africa Command area of operations, he's once again back to his homeland.

Thetis is the first coast guard cutter to deploy to this area since 2012.
