U.S. Army Alaska and Fort Wainwright host the 30th anniversary remembrance ceremony honoring the crash of a Royal Canadian Air Force C-130 aircraft 30 years ago on Fort Wainwright. Among others, Brigadier-General D. Craig Aitchison, Deputy Commanding General of Operations United States Army Alaska, and Brigadier-General (Retired) M.P. Jorgensen spoke about the turn of events and the massive support Fort Wainwright provided during the crash and afterwards. Jorgensen's visit for the ceremony was his first since the crash.
