Soldiers from the 1-2 Stryker Brigade Combat Team, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, received notice Aug. 13, 2018, to deploy to the National Training Center in Fort Irwin, California. A battalion-sized element known as “Task Force Regulars” conducts an Emergency Deployment Readiness Exercise to ensure personnel records, equipment, vehicles and rail operations are capable of fulfilling the mission.
