U.S. Army Pfc. Fatmata Dumbuya, a utility equipment repairer assigned to Headquarters Support Company, Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division, completes her ninth jump out of an Air Force C-17 Globemaster III aircraft while her mother, who is visiting from Sierra Leone, watches at Holland Drop Zone on Fort Bragg, N.C., Feb. 15, 2018. Dumbuya was born in Koidu Town, Konu District, Sierra Leone, and later moved with her family to Freetown. Dumbuya and her mother, Kadiatu Kubra Bah, had not seen each other since Dumbuya left Sierra Leone in 2015. This was the first time her mother attended one of Dumbuya’s military milestones. Dumbuya joined the Army in 2017 from New York City.
