Since 2011, the month of October has been designated as Energy Action Month, a chance to bring awareness to the important role energy plays in our nation’s economy today and sustainability in the future.
The submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40) is taking this month-long event as an opportunity to make some energy-saving changes throughout the ship.
Military Sealift Command has been working his way through the ship replacing the current conventional light bulbs with new, energy efficient, light-emitting diode (LED) bulbs.
