Team Selfridge was hard at work this afternoon in support of the aid mission following Hurricane Harvey.
US Coast Guard Great Lakes units assembled at Coast Guard Air Station Detroit, Selfridge Air National Guard Base, to prepare for the mission; which will bring 25 Coast Guard personnel, 7 arctic life rafts, and other humanitarian supplies to the Houston area for an indefinite Search and Rescue mission. Members of the Michigan Air National Guard's 127th Logistics Readiness Squadron assisted the Coast Guard by providing group PAX loading support.
