North Carolina National Guard’s Rapid Reaction Force supports the Hurricane Matthew Flood Relief. As of October 18, 2016, the 875 Engineer Company drained over eighty-million gallons of flood water off of a 1-square mile area in Princeville, NC in six days. Soldiers help direct civilians navigate safely around flooded and hazardous streets in Kinston, NC on October 19, 2016. The city of Kinston and County of Lenoir thanked the National Guard with a night of baseball. Members of 1451 Transportation Company and the 151 Mobility Augmentation Company joined to compete against each other on their last night before being deactivated.
