1st Sgt. Heather Javersak of the Missouri National Guard's 35th Engineer Brigade HHC, is a recent graduate of the Regional Training Institute's Combat Engineer school, which was recently opened to female students. In December 2015 the Department of Defense opened all military occupations to women. Javersak discusses her career and experiences from the school and her integration into a Combat Engineer leadership position.
