Marines with 1st Battalion 3rd Marines -”The Lava Dogs” conduct Mountain Warfare Training with Republic of Korea (ROK) Marines as part of the Korean Marine Exchange Program (KMEP), outside Pohang, South Korea, April 2, 2016. KMEP is a program designed to increase interoperability and camaraderie between U.S. Marines and ROK Marines. The alliance between the United States and the Republic of Korea has grown even stronger.
