The Southwestern United States was hit by a massive storm, Dec. 25 to Dec. 28. Keystone Dam is holding back water to prevent downstream flooding in the Arkansas River Basin.
Washington Irving Campground and Day Use Area is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa District recreation area managed by the Keystone Lake Office. The dam and reservoir are under daily surveillance as we ensure our structure is operating exactly as designed to prevent downstream flooding caused by rainfall.
