Three Estonian Navy conscripts are serving aboard Estonian Navy flagship minehunter Admiral Cowan. They have been part of the crew since April this year. Besides fulfilling their obligation for their homeland these conscripts also part of Estonia’s contribution to NATO. Admiral Cowan joined the Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group 1 in the beginning of August. Navy conscripts serve for eleven months in Estonia. After going through three months long soldiers’ basic course in Guards Battalion, they join the Navy and serve on the ships for the rest of their conscription. Also available in high definition.
