His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Her Majesty Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, and Maj. Gen. Jeffrey S. Buchanan, commanding general,
U.S. Army Military District of Washington, laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers on June 1, 2015. This event was part of their majesties official visit to the United States. Their majesties paid tribute to the American men and women who sacrificed their lives 70 years ago liberating Europe and the Netherlands. While at Arlington, the Royal Couple also met with veterans and women who worked as “Rosies” during World War II.
