The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) has developed tools to collect, process, exploit and disseminate geospatial information for mission support around the world. The Load and Route Evaluator for Dismounted Operations-for RaptorX (LAREDO-X) is a geospatial route planning tool that utilizes high-resolution terrain information and incorporates human performance factors such as energy expenditure and altitude effects to help operators determine the optimal route during tactical mission planning. These tools can be used by Warfighters to analyze aspects in order to better anticipate and react.
