Soldiers from the Washington National Guard's 1-303rd Cavalry Regiment perform "mopping" techniques on parts of the Chiwaukum Creek Fire near Leavenworth,
Washington. They sweep the area and try to find hot smoldering embers. They then wet the embers down in order to extinguish the heat so it doesn't catch fire later on.
