Some Yokota Airmen make a little bit more out of their weekend. A1C Patrick Cole shows us how some Airmen get away from the workplace.
(A1C Josh Mcdonald- Bungee Jumping Participant):
I decided to come out and come bungee jumping because it’s something I’ve always wanted to do, definitely on the bucket list of, you know, fun stuff to do. They got great programs like Outdoor Rec where I can actually come out here and do this stuff.
(REPORTER):
Airmen like A1C Josh McDonald are enjoying one of Outdoor Recreation’s special trip programs. Trips like these are programs where military members and sometimes there family can experience Japan at little to no cost. Bungy Japan owner and founder Mr. Charles Odlan says he enjoys seeing the service members having a good time bungee jumping and experiencing Japan.
(Mr. Charles Odlan- Owner and Founder, Bungy Japan):
It feels good to have or provide an opportunity for people from Yokota, or Yokosuka, or any of the military bases an opportunity not just to come out and go bungee jump but to sort of get away from their normal life and experience a little bit of Japan.
The Airmen jumped from one of the highest permanent bungee jumping sites in Japan. Reporting from Yokota Air Base Japan, I’m Airman First Class Patrick Cole. Also available in High Definition.
