Kantner with 643rd Construction Company, 84th Engineer Battalion and Royal Thai Army Captain Annop Krataitong (translated to English) with the 34th Mobile Development Unit, Singapore Army Soldiers with Army Combat Engineer Group and local population participate in a pillar raising ceremony taking place for Exercise Cobra Gold 2013 (CG 13) at Ban Wang Hau Krang Elementary School in Phitsanulok, Kingdom of Thailand, Jan. 22. CG 13 forces conduct engineering and medical civic assistance projects, cooperative health engagements, and other civil-military activities in the Kingdom of Thailand, in order to promote the security interests of the Kingdom of Thailand, U.S. and partner nations, enhance component operational readiness skills and training objectives, increase interoperability with partner nation forces, and serve the basic civic needs of the local population.
