Marine Major General Richard Kramlich, Commanding General, First Force Service Support Group, talks from Fallujah to Chris Matthews of MSNBC. MajGen Kramlich says operation in Fallujah was a major success; says after Iraqi Election Committee releases location of polling sites, his unit will get the information to the voters at the 11th hour because of security concerns; says Iraqis that have come back to Fallujah have a sense that forces are trying to help; says insurgents are remnants of Saddam's regime and outside terrorists; says Marine morale is high; says Fallujah is sometimes the most dangerous spot, but it has changed since the operation - insurgent IEDs have inflicted very little damage on unit convoys; says they're able to find them before they can harm; Iraqi security forces are improving by working closely with three battalions in Fallujah; says Marine training is top-notch and they continue to improve convoy and urban warfare tactics in the States to prepare for Iraq; says Marines are communicating with Iraqis by picking up phrases and reading body language; he also credits two local Iraqis who lost their entire families to Saddam's regime and now serve as translators for Marines; says he doesn't think US Troops will be in Iraq for 10 years; says priority in the next months is training Iraqi Forces.
