Known as the “Father of Aviation” Brig. Gen Theodore Lyster was a physician instrumental in creating physical standards for pilots before and during the United State’s involvement in World War I. Today, Lyster Army Health Clinic on Fort Rucker, Alabama, is named in his honor and carries his legacy of exemplary warfighter care.
