A U.S. Air Force C-12 Huron assigned to the 459th Airlift Squadron flies over a simulated airplane crash alongside a Japan Air Self-Defense Force U-125A and UH-60J assigned to the Niigata Air Rescue Squadron during Rescue Flag 26-1 at Niigata, Japan, Sept. 2, 2026. The training provided an opportunity for the 459 AS and the Japan Air Self-Defense Force Niigata Air Rescue Squadron to enhance rescue capabilities while strengthening bilateral interoperability.
