On the morning of Sept. 11, 2001, Arlington National Cemetery was quiet. Hours later, the tragedy at the nearby Pentagon changed everything.
A year later, the Pentagon Group Burial Marker was dedicated in Section 64 to honor the 184 lives lost at the Pentagon and Flight 77.
Marking 25 years of remembrance, cemetery employees Andrea Stephens-Jackson and Donnie Willett reflect on being on these hallowed grounds that day. We honor the lives lost on 9/11 and the first responders who answered the call.
