U.S. Air Force Airmen from the 96th Bomber Generation Squadron and the 20th BGS prepare and launch a B-52H Stratofortress aircraft assigned to the 2nd Bomb Wing at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, Aug. 23, 2026. The aircraft took part in a flyover during the IndyCar Freedom 250 Grand Prix in Washington D.C., participating as one of the aircraft in the “bomber trio”, alongside the B-2 Spirit and B-1B Lancer.
