NEW YORK (July 5, 2026) — Senegalese Navy offshore patrol vessel Niani sails down the Hudson River with the New York City skyline in the background during International Naval Review 250 in New York, July 5, 2026. Niani’s participation highlighted Senegal’s maritime capability, professionalism and transatlantic reach, as well as the importance of sustained U.S.-Africa maritime partnerships. International Naval Review 250 commemorates the United States’ 250th anniversary and honors the Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard’s enduring role on, under and above the seas. The multinational maritime gathering brought together U.S., Allied and partner-nation ships, leaders and service members to strengthen interoperability, reinforce shared security interests and demonstrate cooperation among maritime nations.
