Royal Moroccan Navy frigate RMNS Mohammed VI and Senegalese Navy offshore patrol vessel Niani transit New York Harbor during International Naval Review 250 in New York, July 2026. International Naval Review 250 commemorates the United States’ 250th anniversary and honors the Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard’s enduring role on, under and above the seas. The participation of Morocco and Senegal, along with additional African partner nations, highlighted African maritime capability, transatlantic reach, maritime professionalism and the importance of sustained U.S.-Africa maritime partnerships. The multinational maritime gathering brought together U.S., Allied and partner-nation ships, leaders and service members to strengthen interoperability, reinforce shared security interests and demonstrate cooperation among maritime nations.
