Alber Iokepa, a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter repairer and crew chief assigned to 1st Battalion, 189th Aviation Regiment, Hawaii Army National Guard, describes an air rescue mission conducted March 20th in Waianae during the Kona Low storms, March 31, 2026, Mililani, Hawaii. During this mission the Hawaii National Guard rescued 32 children, 15 adults and 2 canines who were trapped and isolated due to flood-damaged roads. (U.S. Army National Guard video by Sgt.
