The Marshall Center welcomed retired U.S. Army Gen. Christopher Cavoli on Feb. 12, 2026, during the Strategic Competition and Russia course to share his perspective on European security and strengthening European-led deterrence and defense through unity, readiness, and shared understanding.
As former commander of U.S. European Command and NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe, Cavoli offered course members the opportunity not only to hear from, but to engage directly with one of the Alliance’s most experienced military leaders—reinforcing the Marshall Center’s role as a venue where strategic dialogue connects senior leadership insight with the next generation of security professionals.
