Senior leaders from the United States, allied nations, and Africa partner forces concluded the multinational exercise Justified Accord 2026 with a closing ceremony at the Humanitarian Peace Support School, Nairobi, Kenya, March 13, 2026. Speakers at the ceremony included U.S. Ambassador Susan M. Burns, Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Nairobi; Charles Lenjo Mwazighe, director of the International Peace Support Training Center; and U.S. Army Brig. Gen. Richard Cipro, the land component commander of the Massachusetts Army National Guard and deputy commanding general - National Guard, U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF).
JA26 increases multinational interoperability in support of humanitarian assistance and crisis response, prepares regional partners for United Nations and African Union missions, and builds readiness for the U.S. joint force. Led by U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), and hosted in Djibouti, Kenya, and Tanzania, JA26 is U.S. Africa Command’s largest exercise in East Africa.
