The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) is advancing energy resilience at Fort Bliss with the implementation of a hydrogen nanogrid designed to provide clean, reliable power for installation operations.
The hydrogen nanogrid integrates solar energy, battery storage, hydrogen production, hydrogen storage, and fuel cells into a self-sustaining system capable of operating independently from the commercial power grid. This innovative technology enhances mission readiness while reducing reliance on traditional energy sources.
