YOKOSUKA, Japan (September 4, 2026) — The Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF), Republic of Korea Navy (ROKN), Royal Australian Navy (RAN), Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) and the U.S. Navy successfully completed a Multilateral Anti-Submarine Warfare Exercise (ASWEX) in the Western Pacific, Aug. 25-27, 2026.
Approximately 250 Pacific Partnership 2026 (PP26) personnel, including medical, engineering, disaster management, and outreach experts arrived in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, to begin the fourth stop of the U.S. Navy’s largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster preparedness mission in the Pacific, Sept. 2, 2026.
