U.S. Navy Engineman 2nd Class Jovahny Berthoumieux, right, assigned to Pacific Partnership 2026 (PP26), places a plug in a simulated leak for a damage control demonstration during a PP26 ship tour aboard the British Royal Navy Batch 2 River-class offshore patrol vessel HMS Tamar (P233) in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, Sept. 7, 2026. The ship tour provided the opportunity for PP26 to exchange shipboard knowledge and enhance interoperability and cooperation with Royal Navy counterparts. Now in its 22nd iteration, the Pacific Partnership series is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster management preparedness mission conducted in the region. Pacific Partnership works collaboratively with host and partner nations to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase security in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships in the Indo-Pacific.
