Casey Behringer, a chocolate lab and Brittany spaniel mix, lays in a lavish hotel bed in Fayetteville, N.C., after a two-day cross country road trip in December 2014. This trooper traveled 1,500 miles, visiting seven states by the time we reached North Carolina.
