米海艦船修理廠及び日本地区造修統括本部（SRF-JRMC）は米海軍横須賀及び佐世保基地に配備されている艦船に様々な艦船修理・整備・近代化のサービスを提供することで、第７艦隊の艦船を常に機能できる状態に保っている。業務やサービスは工場によって異なるが、すべての工場がこの使命を維持する責任を果たしている。

在沖米海兵隊は、3月下旬以降、新型コロナウィルス感染拡大を最小限に抑えるため、基地外での活動を制限するなど厳格な健康保護措置を講じてきました。7月上旬に普天間飛行場及びキャンプ・ハンセンで2カ所の集団感染が確認されたことを受けて、海兵隊は米軍及び沖縄県民の安全と保護を確保するために不断の努力を重ねてきました。周到な健康保護の取り組みにより、海兵隊は感染の拡大を抑制することができました。
