2月21日、艦船修理廠及び日本地区造修統括本部（SRF-JRMC）はSRF-JRMC文化遺産委員会が主催する黒人歴史月間を祝うイベントを本部中庭で行った。イベントは従業員と来賓によるパフォーマンス、参列者のレセプションとケーキカットで構成され、軍人・軍属・日本従業員及びその家族や友人たちが集まった。
