ボランティアグループによって運営されており、主に必要とされている子供たちに放課後の食料支援を行っている。アルバラド３等軍曹によると、同じ支援大隊のリカルド・ネグレテ伍長は、一人で、140個の缶詰を寄付した。北谷町社協の仲宗根友美子供支援コーディネーターは、給食に頼っている子どもたちがいるため、海兵隊員からの寄付はありがたいと述べた。日本の小学校では給食がある。
