It's been five years since our unit has been re-activated in Japan. This year, our brigade consistently demonstrated our ability to quickly move weapon systems and to provide early warning throughout the Indo-Pacific to defend our people and critical assets; and to ensure our friends and allies know that we stand shoulder to shoulder with them against threats to this region.
We continue to be the world’s premier air defense brigade; a team filled with leaders at all ranks, dedicated to putting people first and mission accomplishment. We are committed to soldier and family readiness; always prepared to take care of our families in a forward-stationed environment.

The Pacific Guardian Magazine is the official year-in-review, bilingual (Japanese/English) publication of the 38th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, published annually on the anniversary of the unit's historic reactivation ceremony at Sagami General Depot, Japan Oct. 31, 2018. The first of its kind for the unit will continue to be a tradition to help document the unit's mission and key highlights annually.
