    JOINT BASE ANACOSTIA-BOLLING, D.C. - Lewisville, N.C.’s own Hunter Overton is slated to perform for more than 53 million spectators as part of the United States Air Force Honor Guard Parade Flight’s appearance at the 86th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade Nov. 22 in New York City.

    Staff Sgt. Hunter Overton joined the United States Air Force Honor Guard in October of 2007 where he represents airmen all across the service to the American public and the world as a ceremonial guardsman and as an elite Drill Team member.

    “I am proud to represent the dedicated professional men and women in the world’s greatest Air Force as my team and I step in unison and formation to project the image of excellence instilled in every airman," Overton said. "This is an amazing opportunity that I have been given and I am proud to be serving our nation.”

    The parade begins at 9 a.m. EST, and will be broadcast on many television stations.

    Located at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, D.C., the United States Air Force Honor Guard has lead the way as representatives of all airmen serving around the world. The men and women of the honor guard represent every member, both past and present, of the U.S. Air Force.
